Week 10- Tony

Wow, Im really late. Other than a super duper busy wedding season, this is the only thing I had time to work on this week. Here is a product shot for my friend Bobs new company Environmetal. I fully support the cause and highly recommend everyone check it out.

Week 10-Tyler

So another busy ass week has come and gone, and so Tony and I have decided to do another "What are you working on now" type of weeks. Anywho...anyone who knows me knows that I've always dreamed of living by the ocean, traveling the world, chasing swells, and photographing it all, so this is a bit of a life long series. This past weekend the Northeast saw near perfect well over head conditions thanks to Hurricane Bill, and I didn't get to surf any of it. But I did at least get to take photos, so here is one. And you can see more on my Facebook.

Week 9 Ben

Sorry I missed last week. I was in philly working on a framing job. But I'm here for week 9.

For the caption:

"I have been doing a lot of "street" shooting lately, documenting mostly musicians. This is Vinny, and he is a member of a band which was collecting money by 30th St. Station."

Week 9 Tony

Id like to be doing nothing and making money, but that doesn't seem to be working for me so I guess Ill settle for being busy. This is the second week in a row Mandy and I have had enough and drove to the Water Gap. We drove past this gem of a sunset just after a brief rainstorm. This is a hand held shot with little alteration. Pretty much just some color and contrast correction. The sun had moved by the time I set up my tripod for the next round of shots, bummer. But Im here to say it really looked this good. I hope you can take a second of your busy day and just relax and enjoy this sunset with us.

Week 9-Tyler

So Tony and I continue to be very busy. Which is a good thing since this is the busy season of both of our parts of the industry, and work is good. Either way we've decided to use this past week to set aside time to work on our individual on going projects.

This image is part of a series that I've been working on since December. The series is comprised of images photographed from a moving car. I use the fact that I'm traveling at 50+ mph to capture an image that couldn't be captured any other way. Some of the photos are shot while I'm a passenger and some of them I'm driving for. Either way I hope to capture something people see everyday but in a way that they rarely look at it. This is a photo I just took this past weekend. To be honest I'm not sure if it makes that cut compared to some of the other ones in the series, but I'm pretty happy with it.

If you go to my website, the first 5 images of the main gallery are part of this series.

Enjoy, and I definitely welcome and want comments and critique.

Week 8 -Tyler

So as usual I had a few different things in mind for this shot that didn't quite come to fruition. Unfortunately I have been crazy busy. But I'm happy to have this to at least shoot something every week. Our posts aren't quite as exciting as I had hoped for, but hopefully this next week will be sweeter, whatever it ends up being.

Enjoy,

Week 8- Chris Weger

-Chris Weger-

Sorry Everybody

We just can't seem to get things straight. Tony and I always seem to have something going. This week my excuse is a weekend of rock climbing and 12 to 14 hours days of work. Either way I wanted to say that we have a new guy coming into the mix. His name is Chris Weger, also a fellow AIPH graduate and also has a beard, sometimes. Either way Chris dedicates most of his photography, and life for that matter, towards skateboarding. So hopefully this blog will help him step out of his comfort zone like Tony and I wanted it to.

So far no word from Paul or Ben for this week, but hopefully they're still with us and we hope this thing can keep growing!

Enjoy,
-Tyler

Week 8 Stick it in the Fridge

Ok not as fun or great as last week, but interesting to say the least. I pointed the flash down and laid the camera on its side, set the timer and closed the door. Its pretty sound proof in there. I couldnt hear the shutter unless I put my ear next to it. I would like to try this again when I can put more time and effort into it. The fridge made the perfect mini studio with awesome light with just one flash. This may be an awesome way to do food and drink product shots.

Week 7 Ben MacMaster

Not the best idea...

Week 7- Tyler

I'm not sure what to say about this one. I'm excited about it though. I figured it was about time someone brought some studio business to this blog, but I guess Paul had been thinking the same thing. I have literally 154 shots of these things now, but this one was in the last set of them. This was what I was working towards and it took the help of my roommate Ryan to make it work, so thanks Ryan.

Enjoy

Week 7 -Paul

Paul had a caption in the email he sent me, but I forget it and I purged the email already. It said something along the lines of "No offensive caption this time."
Either way, enjoy this one from Paul.
